Documents that carry goods, not amounts

Ten of BillFlow’s thirteen document types carry money. Three do not: delivery notes, waybills and packing lists. On these the sheet drops prices and totals entirely and lists what is being sent and in what quantity, because a driver and a warehouse do not need your margins and your customer’s receiving clerk should not see them.

The customer block changes with the document too — a delivery note is captioned “Deliver To” rather than “Bill To”, since it proves receipt rather than requesting payment.

A lifecycle that matches how goods actually move

Delivery notes and waybills do not go from Draft to Paid, so they do not pretend to. They move through Dispatched, In Transit and Delivered, and BillFlow only offers the transitions that make sense from where a document currently is — nothing skips a step or quietly goes backwards.

Delivery documents draw on the same customer records as your invoices, including separate billing and shipping addresses, and carry the same logo, colours and templates. A customer receiving a delivery note and an invoice from you receives two documents that plainly came from the same company.

What is the difference between a delivery note and a waybill?
Both record goods rather than amounts. A delivery note accompanies a shipment and proves what was delivered to the customer; a waybill is the carrier-facing document for the journey itself. BillFlow gives each its own numbering sequence and template, and both follow the dispatched, in-transit, delivered lifecycle.
Do delivery notes show prices?
No. Delivery notes, waybills and packing lists are non-monetary document types: the sheet lists items and quantities without unit prices or totals, so it can go to a warehouse or a carrier without exposing what anything cost.
Can I create a delivery note from an existing invoice?
You build it in the same editor with the same customer and product records, so the lines are picked from your catalogue rather than retyped. The delivery note keeps its own number in its own sequence.
Is delivery note software free here?
